"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Mosaic Art is one of those fields where one has enormous scope either to create beautiful realistic works such as landscapes, portraits etc., or works of abstract art. Almost nothing is impossible. And the beauty of it all is that a lot of the time you can be repurposing materials such as broken tiles, crockery glass, stones, shells and so on.

"Every project is a unique experience, full of lessons and memories.

And that is so true of mosaic art. With every project I meet new people and I learn additional skills. I get to experiment with new materials, new adhesives, new substrates and so on. Every project is different and presents its own challanges.

I placed an advert in a local newsletter to see if people wanted to get rid of any old tiles they had lying around. One lady has responded and as a result I have a constant flow of used tiles. In return I have been able to help her with one of her own mosaic projects.
